What does history really consists of? Centuries of people quietly going about their daily business - sleeping, eating, having sex, endeavouring to get comfortable. And where did all these normal activities take place? At home. [Bill Bryson - At Home, a short history of private life]

Den Lille Pige med Svovlstikkerne
The Little Match Girl is a short story by Hans Christian Andersen, a danish poet, published for the first time in 1848 in the fifth volume of Nye Eventyr [New Tales]. Here's the italian version translated by Maria Pezzè-Pascolato, in 1903. The original story written by Andersen was adapted for animation and Live-Action films. The most recent one is a cartoon made by Disney and directed by Roger Allers.
